Bugy Ramone (Travel Bug)
>> Dutch version

This is the website voor Travel Bug 'Buggy Ramone', a bug named to one of my favorite bands: the Ramones. Remark it's not Buggy named to a fancy car but it's Bugy Ramone!

The sad story behind the Ramones is the fact that three of the four bandmembers past away within four years. Is it the lifestyle of sex, drugs & Rock 'n Roll? The fact is a lot of musicians died too young: Joey Ramone, Johnny Ramone and Dee Dee Ramone but also Ian Curtis the singer of Joy Division. What's left is the greath music that I still enjoy every day, it's on my iPod and it joins me during my riders in my car.

In the list underneath only musicians that are my favorites, so no Kurt Cobain, Jimmy Hendrix, Jim Morrison or John Lennon but:

Joey Ramone - Ramones
Johnny Ramone - Ramones
Dee Dee Ramone - Ramones
Ian Curtis - Joy Division
Stuart Adamson - Big Country
John Balance - Coil
Sid Vicious - Sex Pistols
Joe Strummer - The Clash
Pete de Freitas - Echo and the Bunnymen

A list of nine musicians with attached (photo) missions. I want to ask you to help to accompliced the missions of Bugy Ramone. The mission is to make a picture of Bugy Ramone at the locations that are named underneath. It will be great when you can add goodies (keyrings) to Bugy. All missions can be accompliced more than once, so feel free to accomplice a mission for the second, thirth of even fourth-time. All pictures will be publiced on this website. Everybody who has accompliced one of the missions will receive a CD.

This is the first Travel Bug I've send around. And I've looked for a special cache to start the travel. I've thought about 'Paradiso' known as the Dutch Rock-Temple. That's a venue in Amsterdam where The Ramones did some gigs. But that's an urban place where a lot of people are hanging around. So not the best point to hide Bugy Ramone.

Bugy Ramone is still in my hands, looking for a good cache to start the journey.
